Summer 2008 PJC Kids' College
Ms. Edith Finley, Coordinator, Continuing Education provides information on the
upcoming summer 2008 Kids’ College. The PJC Kids’ College is a summer program
for children ages 6-12. Listen in to hear what’s new for this year’s program,
e.g., expanded Monday through Friday courses and an honors program for middle

Bioethics: Science
and Human Values
This coming year PJC will be embarking on a district-wide project entitled,
"Bioethics: Science and Human Values.” Much like last year’s interdisciplinary
presentation of “South Pacific,” the topic of this year’s initiative will
solicit input from all areas of the college as well as the surrounding
community. This podcast, the first in a series designed to keep everyone
informed, was recorded 5/17/07 and features Mr. Jim Brady, Department Head,
Biological Sciences.

Ms. Carol Horigan, Professor in the PJC Visual Arts Department since 1974,
provides an informative overview of the Fulbright-Hays Summer Seminar Abroad.
Carol conveys her first-hand experiences as a recipient of this prestigious
fellowship that has allowed her to travel to India, Argentina, and Mexico. Carol
also provides practical advice for anyone considering applying for this grant.
