TRIO Programs

Trio programs are federally funded educational opportunity programs for low-income and disabled Americans.  Trio is designed to assist these students in overcoming academic, cultural, and social barriers to higher education. 

• Part of Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965.
• Can be found nationwide in educational institutions and community programs.
• Includes four outreach and support programs.
