College Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST)
The CLAST is required of all students who expect to receive an associate of arts (A.A.) degree or to become a junior at a state university in Florida.
- CLAST may be taken either by written tests or online.
- Online CLAST is offered by appointment only during each term on the Pensacola campus.
- Registration forms for the written administration of the CLAST can be obtained from each PJC campus location.

Preparing for the CLAST
- Must complete 18 college credits before attempting to take the CLAST.
- Research indicates you should attempt the CLAST as soon after completing these courses as possible while your skills are still fresh.
- Special review courses are offered at PJC. (MGF1118, REA1125, ENC1090)
- Other resources for CLAST prep:
- Video tapes.
- Practice exams.
- Online reviews.
- Individual tutoring.
- Contact the Testing Office to schedule an appointment with an advisor lf you are not successful in your initial attempts to pass the CLAST. The advisor will help you develop an individualized study plan.
