TRIO - Student Support Services (SSS)

Student Support Services is a federally funded program designed to motivate students to complete their post-secondary education.  Emphasis is on retaining the students in college and increasing the number of college graduates by providing services to help them succeed.

Services include:

• Instruction in basic study skills
• Tutorial services
• Academic, career, vocational, and personal advising
• Financial aid assistance
  • Application assistance
  • Assistance in finding loans, grants, and scholarships
  • Electronic filing of FAFSA
  • Grant aid to current SSS participants who are receiving Federal Pell Grants
• College services
  • Tutoring
  • Peer mentoring
  • Supplemental instruction
  • Workshops for students
