What Happens After You Submit the FAFSA?

After you submit the FAFSA, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR)

When you receive your SAR, you must review it carefully to make sure it is correct. If the data is accurate and you do not need to make changes, you may be awarded financial aid on the basis of that information. It is your responsibility to request academic transcripts from all prior post-secondary institutions you have attended. These transcripts should be sent to the PJC Admissions Office. All prior college transcripts must be evaluated by the PJC admissions office before any federal or state financial aid can be awarded.

How will you receive your Student Aid Report?

The Central Processing Service will also send PJC an electronic copy of the SAR if you put 001513, the PJC school code, as one of your college choices. (Question 97 on the 2008-2009 FAFSA).

Note: A random number of students are selected each year to submit additional documents (such as tax returns filed with IRS) to the school through which they are receiving financial aid. You will be notified by PJC if your SAR has been selected for verification when the results are received.
