First Generation Matching Grant (FGMG)
The First Generation Matching Grant Program provides need-based grants to undergraduate students who are enrolled in state colleges/universities and whose parents have not earned baccalaureate degrees. Available state funds are contingent upon matching contributions from private sources on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
Student need must be evaluated by an approved method. For all PJC students the approved needs assessment is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Students must meet the following criterion for eligibility:
-
Be a Florida resident and eligible United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.
-
Be a first-generation college student.
-
Be enrolled as degree seeking at Pensacola Junior College.
-
Be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours per term as a degree-seeking undergraduate student.
- Be classified as dependent or independent.
