Zoo Animal Technology

Welcome to Zoo Animal Technology (ZOO-AS )

The Zoo Animal Technology program is designed to prepare students for employment in a zoological park or in settings requiring animal care, husbandry, breeding or health. The program is presented in cooporation with The Zoo in Gulf Breeze, Florida. This is a limited access, selective admissions program. Applications are accepted for each Fall term until the class is filled by qualified applicants meeting science GPA, test score, and animal experience requirements. Accepted students must meet zoo physical and negative TB test requirements and comply with dress/appearance codes to continue. Courses may not be taken as a pass/fail option. Students must earn a "C" or better in all courses. Detailed information and application packets are available from the department or online at http://itech.pjc.edu/jkaplan/zooschool/. After completing the Zoo Animal Technology A.S. degree, students may work work towards an advanced technical certificate in Zoo Research, Herpetology, or Elephany Biology and Management. Program articulates to B.S. in Interdisciplinary Sciences with a specialization in Zoo Science at UWF (http://uwf.edu/pjctouwf/zoology.htm).

FEE PAYMENT FOR SPRING TERM 2010

Spring term 2010 (Session A, B, C and D): Fees are due by 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Registration schedules that remain unpaid by the deadline will be canceled. Registrations processed on or after January 5 must be paid by the close of business on the day of registration.
