Visual Arts

 Welcome to the Visual Arts Department

The Visual Arts Department, located in the Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts, offers a variety of two-year degrees and professional art training in the areas of design, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, photography, illustration, computer graphics, and web design. Visual Arts faculty are all professional creative artists actively involved in their fields. Their extensive exhibition, publication, and teaching experience offer students a rich source of artistic knowledge. The Visual Arts Gallery, located in the Center complex, provides an annual schedule of changing exhibitions, visiting artists, and events.

FEE PAYMENT FOR SPRING TERM 2010

Spring term 2010 (Session A, B, C and D): Fees are due by 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Registration schedules that remain unpaid by the deadline will be canceled. Registrations processed on or after January 5 must be paid by the close of business on the day of registration.

AA Degree CLAST Requirements Changed

The State of Florida Legislature has repealed the requirement to pass the College Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST) in order to be awarded an associate in arts degree. This change goes into effect for any student earning the associate in arts degree after June 30, 2009. more ...
