Physical Sciences

 Welcome to the Physical Sciences Department

Astronomy, Chemistry, Earth Science, Engineering, Geology, Meteorology, Oceanography, Physics . . . . . the Department of Physical Sciences offers a wide variety of both didactic and hands-on laboratory courses to serve the many needs of our students. The Department offers several university-parallel degree programs that readily transfer to State University System institutions as well as other colleges all across the country. We provide courses that fulfill specialized requirements in scientific and technical programs, and we offer a broad slate of courses that support general education learning outcomes. Begin your journey toward a rewarding career through courses and programs offered by the Physical Sciences Department. Explore the physical workings of the Universe and the physical world around us. Logical thinking, learning how to work with new materials and equipment, and improved mathematical abilities are just some of the skills developed through the study of science that are useful in any career.

FEE PAYMENT FOR SPRING TERM 2010

Spring term 2010 (Session A, B, C and D): Fees are due by 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Registration schedules that remain unpaid by the deadline will be canceled. Registrations processed on or after January 5 must be paid by the close of business on the day of registration.

AA Degree CLAST Requirements Changed

The State of Florida Legislature has repealed the requirement to pass the College Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST) in order to be awarded an associate in arts degree. This change goes into effect for any student earning the associate in arts degree after June 30, 2009. more ...
