Dr. Joe Stallings teaches Classical
Guitar, Music Theory and Music Appreciation. He is an Academic Advisor
and the founder and director of the PJC Guitar Program, which includes
the Pensacola Guitar Chamber Orchestra, the Pensacola Guitar Ensemble
and the PJC Guitar Association. He is also the founder and chairman
of the Pensacola Guitar Society. He received his bachelor of arts degree
in music, his master of music degree from Western Kentucky University and his doctorate from Arizona State University.
Professor Stallings is a recipient of the 1996 N.I.S.O.D.
Excellence Award from The National Institute for Staff and Organizational
Development, the 1995 Pensacola Junior College Teaching
Excellence Award, and the 1992, 1988, and 1986 Department of
Music and Theatre's Teaching Excellence Awards. He has
been a member of the P.J.C. Academy of Teaching Excellence since
1995 and is a published author and composer.
