Basic Driver Improvement

Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course
Course: R 04404 ( 15 hours )
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider course is a complete course of instruction for those who wish to develop safe street-riding skills and obtain a motorcycle endorsement. Classroom instruction is combined with motorcycle riding activities on an approved training range. Student will need to successfully complete the skills riding evaluation and the written exam to receive a Rider Course Completion Card. Student handbook, insurance, helmet and motorcycle are provided. Students must provide long sleeve shirt or jacket, full fingered gloves, long pants and sturdy footwear which covers the ankles. Students may bring their own DOT/Snell Foundation approved helmet. Students must be at least 15 years of age and hold a valid Florida learner's permit for 6 months in order to participate in this course. Motorcycles are provided by Southern MotorSports Safety. Cost: $180.

Designed to instill proper driving habits. First time drivers will become familiar with lawful and courteous driving habits. Based on audiovisual and group discussion.
