PJC Holds Health Care Reform Community Forum
9/11/2009

Pensacola Junior College holds “Getting the Facts Straight,” a health care reform community forum Friday, Sept. 25.

The forum is 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio, next to WSRE TV, on the Pensacola campus.

The purpose of the forum is to set the record straight, separate facts from fiction, dispel myths, clear up misinformation and educate the community about health care reform, health insurance reform and various health care initiatives. The panel of experts includes health care providers; hospital administrators; physicians; nurses; AARP representatives; pharmaceutical reps; and advocates for the poor and homeless, veterans and individuals with disabilities.

The community forum will be featured as a special edition of the “Aware” television program – a WSRE original production/program that focuses on community affairs and interests. “Aware” is hosted by Dee Dee Sharp and airs the fourth Friday of each month at 8 p.m.

The forum is free and open to the public, but seat reservations are required.

For reservations, call 484-1759, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For more information, contact Gael Frazer at 484-1759, gfrazer@pjc.edu.
