Surgical Tech Students' Open House
9/9/2009

In recognition of National Surgical Technologist Week, Sept. 20-26, Pensacola Junior College surgical technology students invite the community to see them in action.

The surgical technology class is open to the public 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, Building 3700, room 3706E, on the Warrington campus.

PJC surgical technology program director/instructor Pat Miller-Coburn and her students encourage anyone interested in the field to come and learn how important surgical technologists are to surgeons – and, especially, to patients.

“This is our lab day, and we are planning to be in full swing, practicing our skills at the operating room table,” Miller-Coburn says.

Each year, the Association of Surgical Technologists promotes National Surgical Technologist Week – an opportunity to promote the profession and educate the community about the vital role that surgical technologists play in the O.R.

The Warrington campus is at 5555 W. Highway 98.
