PJC Institute Offers Claims Adjuster Courses

The PJC Institute for Corporate and Professional Training offers two courses for people interested in insurance claims adjustor jobs and careers.

Elements of Claims Adjusting (16 hours) is 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Sept. 21-24. Students acquire skills to analyze and apply property coverage, investigate cause of loss, prepare an electronic estimate, prepare a Statement of Loss and negotiate and settle property losses.

The Accredited Claims Adjuster (40 hours) course is 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays Sept. 29-Oct. 20. This course is for people seeking employment in the insurance industry as well as for employees of insurance agencies, regional office facilities and insurance call centers. Candidates that successfully complete the course receive the ACA designation that exempts them from the state examination for licensure as a 5-20 or 6-20 General Lines Insurance Adjuster. Each course costs $300.

Courses are held at the PJC Institute for Corporate and Professional Training, PJC Downtown Center, 418 W. Garden St.
