Pensacola Junior College invites teens 16 to 18 years old to the first annual Youth Summit 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, on the Pensacola campus.
Sponsored by PJC's African American Student Association, Black History/Multicultural Committee and Student Government Association, the event is free and open to the public.
Keynote speaker is Cleveland Robinson II, a recording artist, motivational speaker and author of “A House Called Purpose.” Robinson has a master’s degree in counseling studies from Webster University, St. Louis, Mo.; and a bachelor’s degree in religion and philosophy from Fisk University, Nashville, Tenn.
The day features leadership workshops 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Hagler Auditorium, Building 2A.
Robinson presents “The 4 Essentials of Success” 11 a.m. to noon at the Hagler Auditorium. The educational seminar helps individuals focus and assess career goals to experience career and life success.
The Youth Summit continues with food, fun and games noon to 2 p.m. at the Gazebo.
