Surveys show that friendly faculty and staff are among the top reasons students choose to get their degrees at Pensacola Junior College. Customer service is key. At PJC, we believe that our job is to create a learning environment for students that is free from the hassles, long lines and impersonal treatment that characterize some larger educational institutions.
In 1999, the C.L.A.S.S. Plan was developed and implemented to enhance our student-centered campus culture.
The C.L.A.S.S. Plan provides performance standards for all Pensacola Junior College employees to exercise while representing PJC
on and off campus.
Nominations of employees who have demonstrated outstanding customer service
toward a student or fellow employee are made on an ongoing basis. These
nominees are recognized weekly in the college publication, Green and White. Once a quarter, a winner is selected from among the nominees. The winner (an individual, team or unit) receives a free shopping spree at a local retailer and special recognition before the college's Board of Trustees.
