Endowed Chairs
The Endowed Chairs for Excellence Program affirms the value of outstanding teaching and provides extraordinary recognition to the best PJC faculty. Endowed Chairs can be designated as teaching chairs or program chairs.
- An endowed teaching chair provides a faculty member with travel and research opportunities beyond that which the college can fund.
- An endowed program chair benefits an academic, health, technology or cultural program through consistent funds for state-of-the-art equipment and cultural advancement.
Each Endowed Teaching Chair requires a donor contribution of $50,000, which results in an annual interest yield of approximately $4,500. In return for your contribution, you get to select a name for the Chair and your portrait will be placed in the Hall of Honor in the Barfield Administration Building on the Pensacola Campus. To maximize the funds, the PJC Foundation will seek match money for your gift from various sources. Donors may make a one-time contribution or contribute their $50,000 gift over a designated period of time.
